I recently started a project and took the default RW 7.x. I’m now wondering if I should have gone with 8.x? Also, I’m curious if RW is still active or if folks are moving to other frameworks?

I’m also wondering. It seems like RW wanted to move to server components, but since then, there haven’t been any major updates. I would really appreciate an official response. It would be sad because I really liked the idea of having a full-stack framework with this tech stack.
This turned out to be very difficult to implement in RedwoodJS.
It’s still maintained. In fact, I just released a new version, v8.6.0. But for now RWJS is in maintenance mode. We do have some exciting news to share next month though! Stay tuned ![]()
I’d definitely recommend going with RW v8 instead of v7.
