Localization with Quetzal

I’m Matthew, I’m on the team at Quetzal. We are a Javascript translation framework backed by Y Combinator. I was wondering if we could translate Redwood’s website and documentation to make it more accessible to developers around the world.

My team is looking to contribute to open-source projects for exposure. We are asking for permission to use Quetzal to localize Redwood. Thanks!

Hey @matteo8p  This sounds lovely!

What can I do to help?

Hi Amy, thanks for the quick response. I’m going to discuss with my team today, we’ll get back to you tomorrow. Look forward to working with you and Redwood!

Hi @ahaywood, we can localize the redwoodjs.com web app. Is the webapp open source? If it is, we can make changes directly to the repo and open a PR. Thanks!

Hi, stepping in for @ahaywood

There are two sources:

  1. GitHub - redwoodjs/bighorn-website: New Website Design for RedwoodJS, Bighorn Epoch a RedwoodJS app for the main site.
  2. The “docs” area of the main RwedwoodJS framework. This is Docusaurus. redwood/docs at main · redwoodjs/redwood · GitHub

Thanks and appreciate trying out if translation is possible!

Thanks David! We will try translating the RedwoodJS main site and we will open up a PR for it!
